Team BC Trials for the Boys Train to Train Provincial Program (born in the year’s 1999 – 2001), will take place the weekend of May 2-4, 2014. If you wish to be removed from this email list, please let me know.

Team BC Trial Schedule

Please keep the following times available. Registration numbers will determine which slots are required. An update will be provided closer to the start of trials.

Friday, May 2 7:30pm-9:00pm Rutledge, West Vancouver
Saturday, May 3 7:00am-9:00am Tamanawis#2, Surrey
Saturday, May 3 6:00pm-9:00pm Tamanawis#1, Surrey
Sunday, May 4 7:00am-9:00am Hamber, Vancouver

*There will be a beep test during the trial, which is a 20 meter shuttle run test. Further detail about the beep test can be found at this link.

Trial Registration

Please see the attached Trial Notice for instructions and further information. If interested, we ask athletes to register for trials by April 30th.

Beep Test Standard
Field Players – 9.0 score on Canadian Beep Test
Goalkeepers – 7.5 score on Canadian Beep Test

Athletes are expected to achieve or surpass the standard scores at trials.

Team BC Schedule

· Training begins at the end of May with an average of 3 practices per weekend, including some Friday evenings

· U16 National Championships are set for July 23 – 27, 2014 at Rutledge in West Vancouver

What a great start to the season we’ve had! Thanks to all the players, parents, and coaches. Time for a weekend off field hockey to share with family – we’ll see you back on the field for regular programming starting Tuesday, April 22. Happy Easter!

Each year, players in Divisions U12 and up have the chance to participate in Provincial Club Festival/Tournament. This is an optional activity, for which there are additional costs and time commitments.

Victoria players interested in participating in the Club Festival/Tournament must express their interest by registering online. All participants are required to participate in the assessment process to be considered for selection to a team. Assessments will be held on April 27 and 28 at UVIC.
