2018 UNDER 15/U18 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP INFORMATION

Each year, all Field Hockey clubs in BC are invited to attend Field Hockey BC’s (FHBC) Club Festivals and Championships. These are hosted in different locations and offer an excellent opportunity for participants to travel with a team and play against other clubs from around the province. FHBC organizes a Club Championship for the U15 age-group.

Club Festival Format:
At this level, the event is a championship format (round robin, playoffs, medals) playing 11 a-side on a full field. Both the U15 age group (birth years 2004, 2003) and U18 (birth years 2000, 2001, 2002) format aligns with the stage of learning as outlined in Field Hockey Canada’s Long Term Hockey Development Program.

Non VJFHA individuals interested in playing are required to pay a $30 fee in addition to the player fee (see next section) to cover extra costs covered by the association – tournament registration and assessment turf costs.
Player Cost and Responsibilities:
Although this tournament is an additional opportunity outside the regular league season the Victoria Junior Field Hockey Association is committed to supporting the teams by covering: turf costs for assessments, and the FHBC team entry fee.
All participants will be responsible for their own transportation (vehicle/ferry), accommodation and meal costs. In addition, each participant will be required to pay a Club Festival player fee of $75-$100 to cover additional team costs, including but not limited to:
